Friendswood posting city records online
The City of Friendswood is posting its records online now.
Meeting minutes and ordinances are available to the public going back to 1961 when the city incorporated. More recent contracts, deeds and other papers are also searchable online.
The City Secretary's office started scanning in the documents in 2005 and employees have been able to access them, but this week the city opened up the documents to the public through Laserfiche Weblink.
All the documents are indexed by subject matter, and users can browse folders to find them or conduct full-text searches. Users also can e-mail the documents or print them out in pdf format.
