Republicans to 'interview' District 22 candidates
The Clear Lake Tea Party has organized a "job interview" for candidates running in the 22nd Congressional District election that will be held March 2.
That's the seat currently held by Republican Pete Olson, who represents a sprawling district that includes Clear Lake but stretches from Rosenberg to Deer Park to La Marque.
In addition to Olsen, the following candidates were invited to answer a set of questions from the Republican group:
Douglas Blatt, Democrat
Lakesha Rogers, Democrat
Dennis Stout, Libertarian
Steve Susman, Libertarian
John Wieder, Democrat
A chance to meet the candidates is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., candidates will be questioned.
The event will take place in the Slocumb Auditorium at San Jacinto Colleges's central campus, 8060 Spencer Highway in Pasadena.
