Visiting artists discuss artwork at UHCL

Photographers based in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic have been welcomed to the University of Houston-Clear Lake as a part of the school's featured international art discussion and FotoFest 2012.

The featured art was called "Reconnecting Through Photography: Czech Republic-Slovak Republic." In attendance were: Jana Hojstricova, director of the Photography Department at Bratislava's Academy of Fine Arts; UH-Clear Lake professor of fine arts Sandria Hu; professor of art theory at the Academy of
Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, Bohunka Koklesova; William A. Staples, president of UH-Clear Lake; L'ubo Stacho, professor of photography at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovak Republic; exhibiting artist and professor of photography at the Institute of Art and Design and the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic, Vojtech Aubrecht; and Miro Svolik, director of the Creative Photography Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
