Clear Lake resident makes '40 Under 40' list
Local litigator Edgar Saldivar was named to the Houston Business Journal "40 Under 40 Class of 2012" list, a press release announced Wednesday.
Saldivar is a senior associate with the Houston commercial litigation firm BoyarMiller Group and a resident of Clear Lake. He received the honor in recognition for his community leadership and career accomplishments.
Saldivar expressed gratitude and admiration for his peers in the Houston metropolitan area business community. He also reflected on the accomplishments that may have led to the honor.
"It's also recognition of my firm's role in the expanding globalization of Houston's markets by facilitating transactions between members of our diverse business community and the rest of the world," Saldivar said in the release.
Saldivar joined BoyarMiller in 2010 after attending Harvard University and the University of Houston Law Center. He is still a member of the Harvard University Club of Houston's Schools and Scholarships Committee, where he interviews for the university. He also sits on the board of directors for the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and the National Hispanic Professional Organization, and is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy, the World Affairs Council of Houston and the North American Kant Society.
