Galveston Arts Center introduces new program
The Galveston Arts Center, 2501 Market St. in Galveston, is introducing "Conversations at the Center," a new program of presentations and discussion by area artists, with the first event featuring Galveston-based artists Eric Schnell and Ann Wood at 6 p.m. April 26.
Modeled around the salon of 19th-century France, each artist will give a 15-minute presentation about his or her work, followed by questions and discussion.
Schnell, one of the founders of the Galveston Artist Residency, will discuss the new program as well as his work.
Wood, a California native who moved to Galveston in 2007, is also no stranger to GAC; she had a solo exhibition of her sculptures and embroidered paintings last April titled "Garnish."
