University of Houston Clear-Lake hosts spring collaborative council
The University of Houston-Clear Lake's School of Education hosted its first spring collaborative council of special and general education administrators.
Some of the people who attended included Elizabeth Beavers, UH-Clear Lake assistant professor of special education; Loree Bruton, Alvin ISD director of special education; Cynthia Peltier, Texas City ISD director of special education; Travis Young, principal, Dayton High School; Michaelene Morrison, Dayton ISD director of special education; Randy Seevers, UH-Clear Lake associate professor of special education; and Marva Gavins, UH-Clear Lake assistant professor of special education.
Also at the event were Deena Hill, Pasadena ISD director of special education; Retta Cook, Pearland ISD director of special education; Irene Fellows, Clear Creek ISD director of special education; Melissa Knop, Galveston ISD director of special education; Aishah El-Akkari, president of Association for Childhood Education International; Cynthia Barrett, Sheldon ISD coordinator of special education instructional services; April Fox, LaPorte ISD director of special education; and Tracy McKinley, president, Student Council for Exceptional Children.
