Legendary rocker partners with Houston Symphony

Electric violinist and founder of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mark Wood will be performing with Clear Creek ISD and Spring Branch ISD students at the Houston Symphony Ball on Friday, March 23.

The performance will be held from 7:45-8:20 p.m. at the The Corinthian, 202 Fannin St. in Houston.

The ball is an annual event that raises money for the symphony’s Music Matters education and outreach programs.

Wood is a Emmy Award-winning composer and Juilliard-trained violinist who has worked with artists Lenny Kravitz, Celine Dion and Kanye West and has performed with Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler and Roger Daltry. PBS has dubbed him “The Les Paul of the Violin World.”
