Drop a fishing line at the League City pool
The League City Parks Recreation Department is inviting anglers to drop a line in the city pool and try to catch rainbow trout or catfish.
But so far, few people are biting.
Ticket sales have been significantly less than previous years, city spokeswoman Kristi Wyatt said.
There's been very little response," Wyatt said. But it really is a fun thing to do with your kids."
When: The Fishing Extravaganza takes place Friday, Jan. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 24.
Friday is for senior citizens and special needs children, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday is for children age 3 to 12 who can reserve two-hour spots from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday is open to all, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: League City Municipal Pool, 450 W. Walker.
Tickets: Walk-in registration will be held through Friday at City Hall, 300 W. Walker.
