It may be too cold to work in your garden this weekend, but it's not too cold to plan ahead.
On Saturday, visitors to Armand Bayou Nature Center will be able to pick up tips on planting and nurturing trees, hear a lecture on native trees and local forests, take a hike with a tree expert and even take home seedlings of native trees. There will tree-related activities for the kids, too.
It's all part of Armand Bayou's new Second Saturdays series of special programs on -- you guessed it -- the second Saturday of each month.
When: 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 9.
Where: 8500 Bay Area Blvd., Pasadena.
