Friendswood High School tennis team benefits from test drives
The Friendswood High School tennis team was awarded $3,600 by Bayway Lincoln, located at 12333 Gulf Freeway, in Houston, in exchange for 180 test drives by Friendswood parents and community leaders Oct. 8.
The MCS film team at the school created a video that won Lincoln's Drive Smart video contest, doubling the money given to FHS. The tennis team split the money, giving MCS and the team each $1,800.
League City residents and Bayway owners Darryl and Linda Wischnewsky presented the check to head coach Andrea Morman.
The team also had a car wash that raised more than $800, despite four rounds of rain, according to Morman.
