Manvel High School student named National Merit finalist
Manvel High School senior Heather Pan was named a National Merit finalist.
Pan will now have the opportunity to compete for one of 2,500 National Merit Scholarships awarded on a state basis.
According to the press release, Manvel High School Principal Darrell Alexander said: "This is an outstanding accomplishment for Heather. She has worked extremely hard throughout her high school career and has proven that hard work pays off."
Pan is the first student from the school to receive the honor.
Winners of the National Merit Scholarships will be announced in April.
