The Friendswood High School cheerleaders placed first in the novice and intermediate divisions at the Cheer America national competition at Reliant Park. Both won the national title in their divisions.
The squads also competed at the 32nd National Cheerleading Association Senior and Junior High Championship in Dallas, with both placing in the top 10 in their divisions.
"They competed against the best teams from 26 states. I am so proud of them for doing so well our first time going to this competition," sponsor Kerri Yee said in a press release.
