Traffic humps proposed in Shoreacres
Traffic humps have been proposed for installation in Shoreacres.
The city has received a petition to create six traffic humps on Miramar Drive, between Baywood Avenue and Fairfield Avenue. The goal of the humps is to reduce motorists' speed on Miramar Drive.
The proposed traffic humps will span the street's width and have a length of 12 feet and a 3-inch rise. Pavement markings and signs will also be installed to warn drivers about the traffic humps.
A solid white line has been marked on the street where the proposed traffic humps will be located.
The City Council is holding a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27 and allowing the public to comment on the proposal. Written comments may also be sent by email to administrator@cityofshoreacres.us, by fax to 281-471-8955 or by postal mail to the City Office at 601 Shore Acres Blvd., Shoreacres, TX 77571. Comments must be received by noon on Feb. 27 to be considered at the public hearing.
