League City names new city manager
The League City City Council named Mike Loftin its new acting city manager during a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
The city council voted unanimously to name Loftin to the position.
Loftin, a League City resident and the current assistant city manager for management services, will replace Acting City Manager Rich Oller. He began his public service with League City as Director of Finance in 2009.
The city council is working with a consulting firm to find a permanent city manager.
A special meeting regarding the matter will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at the League City Council Chambers, 300 Walker St., League City.
