City of Seabrook releases monthly tax revenue report
The City of Seabrook’s total revenue collected from this month’s tax revenues is $257,969.81, according to a press release.
The total reflects a 7.51 decrease, or a $20,931.01 decrease, from February of 2011. The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2011-2012 is down 7.62 percent or an $89,039.16 decrease from last year’s total at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales revenue is $1,078,702.01.
Seabrook’s sales tax is broken up into three funds; General Fund (51 percent), Economic Development Corporation (25 percent) and the Crime Control District (24 percent ).
The February revenue breakdown is as follows: General Fund: $131,223.67; Economic Development Corporation Fund: $65,611.83; and Crime Control District Fund: $61,134.31.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; February collection is based on December sales.
