Williams-Sonoma announces March class schedule

The Williams-Sonoma store in Baybrook Mall is offering cooking technique classes on Sundays during the month of March.

All classes are free and are located in the demonstration kitchen of Williams-Sonoma, across from Dillards in Baybrook Mall.

The schedule is as follows:

At 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4, "Cooking with Citrus" will include new ways to cook with citrus, zesting, segmenting and juicing techniques.

At 1 p.m. Sunday, March 11, "Classic Cake" will teach the fundamentals of making a great cake, including creaming, folding, sifting, baking and presentation techniques.

At 1 p.m. Sunday, March 18, "Sweet and Savory Tarts" will teach how to make quiche, sweet fruit tarts and different types of crusts.

And at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 25, "Healthy Cooking for Kids" will include how to make fruits and vegetables appealing to children and family friendly dishes. Children are invited to attend this class with a parent.

Participants in the classes will receive a 10 percent discount on same-day purchases.
