Clear Lake English Country Dance Group holds first ball
Dancers performing "Jefferson's Reel" from left: Alfredo Rodriguez, David Bigwood, Hannah Jones and Rachel Morris.
Clear Lake English Country Dance Group held its first Houston-area ball on Jan. 21 at Clear Lake United Methodist Church. Musicians included keyboardist Kendall Rogers and fiddler Diehl Moran.
The dances, which are held at the church on the first and third Friday of every month, are part of a national trend that combines music and costumes of the 18th and 19th centuries.
The dances are free and run from 7:30-9:30 p.m. New dancers are welcome.
