LyondellBasell donates $5,000 to College of the Mainland
LyondellBasell made a $5,000 donation to the College of the Mainland's Process Technology program.
The program trains students to become process operators. Process technology involves every aspect of chemical processing, which includes extracting and refining chemicals such as oil and natural gas, refining them, and carefully monitoring the process that makes it happen.
"We really appreciate it," said PTEC program Chair Jerry Duncan via a press release. "We're definitely developing a good partnership with them."
The donation was approved at the school's board meeting on Tuesday.
LyondellBasell is a multinational chemical company based in The Netherlands and in Houston.
