Friendswood High School to hold Inaugural 'Cupid Shuffle'

Friendswood High School will host the inaugural "Cupid Shuffle" on Feb. 12.

The race will feature a 5-Mile Run, 5K Run, 5K Partner's Challenge and a Children's 1K for children 10 and younger.

The registration fee for the 5-Mile is $35, the 5K is $25, the 5K Partner's Challenge is $45 and the Children's 1K is $10. People can register at www.active.com.

The 5-Mile Run, 5K Run and 5K Partner's Challenge will begin at 8 a.m., and the Children's 1K will start at 9:30 a.m.

Packets can be picked up from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Sports Authority in the Baybrook Shopping Center, located at 19801 Gulf Freeway, in Webster. On race day, packets can be picked up from 6:30-7:30 a.m. in the Friendswood High School Stadium parking lot, along with race chips.

The race will benefit the Mary Queen Catholic Church Food Pantry.
