Group 1 acquires BMW franchise in SC

Texas-based Group 1 Automotive has acquired Hilton Head BMW in Bluffton, S.C., a move the company says will generate $45 million a year.
"Hilton Head BMW is our 13th BMW franchise in the United States," said Earl J. Hesterberg, Group 1's president and CEO, in a press release.
Group 1 owns and operates 111 dealerships, 143 franchises and 28 collision centers in the United States and United Kingdom.
