Galveston Arts Center to hold Mardi Gras mask workshops
Students and adults are invited to a Mardi Gras mask-making workshop hosted by the Galveston Arts Center on Sunday, Feb. 12.
Local Galveston artist Carolyn Vieau will help attendees decorate custom masks to wear during Mardi Gras festivities from Friday, Feb. 10, to Feb. 24.
The workshop will take place in the basement kitchen at Moody Mansion, at 2618 Broadway St., in Houston
The children's class, appropriate for students ages 6 to 14, will be from 9:30-10 a.m. The adult class is from noon to 2 p.m.
The fee to attend is $10 for GAC members, $12 for nonmembers, including a $10 supply fee.
