City to ease parking restrictions along Seawall for Mardi Gras
The City of Houston will allow limited overnight parking along Galveston’s Seawall Boulevard for the first weekend of Mardi Gras! Galveston 2012.
Registered vehicles and trailers can park along the boulevard beginning at 8 a.m. Feb 9, and all vehicles must be removed no later than 6 p.m. Feb. 12.
Drivers parking in the area before Feb. 9 will be cited and towed for violating the city’s regulation prohibiting parking on the boulevard from 3-5 a.m.
People are reminded to not cover spaces with anything other than a properly registered vehicle or trailer. Cones, chairs, ropes, chains and other objects will be removed at the owner’s expense.
People also should pay attention to designated no-parking zones and restricted areas.
