Clear Lake High School disciplines students caught cheating on exam
Disciplinary actions have been taken against nearly 60 students caught cheating on their final exams at Clear Lake High School.
On Jan. 3, the Clear Lake Independent School District notified parents and students that all English IV final exams would be disqualified, offering students a chance to either retake the test or have an exam score of zero calculated into their final grade. Students caught cheating received a zero for the exam and may face additional punishment.
Clear Lake High School Principal Debra Dixon announced a campus-based task force to develop programs to enforce strong character and ethical behavior.
“We are taking this situation seriously and ask for parent and public patience as we diligently work through each case on an individual basis," said Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education Alex Torrez.
