H-GAC announces Parks and Natural Areas Award winners
The Galveston Bay Foundation's Clear Lake Forest Park Living Shoreline was honored in the Houston-Galveston Area Council's 2011 Parks and Natural Areas Award competition.
The living shoreline at Clear Lake Forest Park fell into the On-the-Ground Projects Under $500,000 category. Living shorelines such as this involve active management to control erosions and enhance shoreline habitats.
