League City Police Department blotter, Jan. 10
The League City Police Department reported the following incidents between Jan. 9 and the early hours of Jan. 10:
DRUGS
Jan. 9, 2:49 a.m.: Melissa Farrill, 28, was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession and two outstanding traffic warrants in the 1900 block of Hobbs Road.
Jan. 10, 12:36 a.m.: Maximiliano Rios, 31, was arrested on felony charges of marijuana possession and manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance in the 2400 block of West Marina Bay Drive.
FRAUD
Jan. 9: A man in the 300 block of Hyland Lane reported an unknown person cashed two checks on his account that has reportedly been closed for four years.
Jan. 9: A woman in the 2500 block of South Gulf Freeway reported an unknown person used her social security number and driver’s license number without permission to fraudulently purchase five Blackberry smartphones on Dec. 21.
THEFT
Jan. 9, 10:23 p.m.: Daphne Britton-Sims, 50, was arrested on a charge of felony theft with two or more previous convictions. She is accused of shoplifting in the 3100 block of South Gulf Freeway.
Jan. 9: A woman reported a Nintendo DS and game cartridge as stolen from the 900 block of West FM 517 on Jan. 4.
Jan. 9: A woman reported a known person took two checkbooks without permission from her home in the 2000 block of Kingsway Drive.
