Friendswood Police remind citizens to 'lock it, hide it, keep it'
Friendswood Police remind locals to be cautious of auto-related theft, especially around the holidays.
The Police Department uses the slogan “lock it, hide it, keep it,” which means to prevent theft, one should lock his or her vehicle and not leave valuables in plain sight.
Two such crimes occurred locally in the week before the Christmas holiday: the first between 8:20 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 19 at 1409 S. Friendswood Drive, in which the victim's window was smashed and her purse was stolen off the front seat.
Another victim's purse was stolen in a similar fashion between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 22 at 1410 Winding Way.
