Dallas artist to open exhibit Jan. 28 in Galveston
The Galveston Arts Center will present Dallas artist Charlotte Smith’s “dot, dot, dot” exhibit starting Jan. 28 during ArtWalk.
According to the center, Smith’s recent work layers glossy droplets of paint over brightly colored and textured backgrounds of polychromatic drips, puddles and pools.
Smith received a master of fine arts degree from the University of North Texas at Denton in 1999. Her recent solo exhibitions have been hosted at Cris Worley Fine Arts in Dallas, the Anya Tish Gallery in Houston and the George Billis Gallery in Los Angeles.
The exhibition will be on display until Feb. 26. The Galveston Arts Center is located at 2501 Market St. at 25th.
