Bay Area Cinderella Scholarship Pageant to be held at South Shore Harbor Hotel

The fifth annual Cinderella Scholarship Pageant will be held on Feb. 12 at the South Shore Harbor Hotel and Resort.

The Texas state pageant welcomes hundreds of youth in the state every year to compete for a chance at thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

Ladies up to the age of 26 and young men age 6 and under are invited to participate in this natural, family-oriented program and qualify to represent the Bay Area at next year’s state competition.

“This isn’t what you see on television,” said Frances Thompson, pageant co-director, in a press release. “Cinderella discourages anything fake, such as fake hair, teeth and expensive clothing. We place emphasis on the participant’s natural beauty, poise and talent.”

The early-bird registration ends on Feb. 2, and the fee is $85. The registration fee after Feb. 2 is $100.
