The Friendswood Police Department reported the following incidents between Dec. 26 and Jan 1.
ALCOHOL
Dec. 31, 11:10 p.m.: A 17-year-old male of Webster was charged with public intoxication-minor in the 200 block of South Friendswood Drive.
BURGLARY
Dec. 27, 3:56 a.m.: A storage container at the Friendswood Fire Department, Station 3, 4300 Laura Leigh Lane, was burglarized. Several hand tools are believed to be missing from the storage container.
Dec. 29, 8:22 a.m.: The passenger window on a vehicle parked at Friendship Haven, 1500 Sunset Drive, was smashed and a purse stolen.
Jan. 1, 10:28 a.m.: A truck parked in the 100 block of Rustic Lane was burglarized overnight.
Jan. 4, 4:58 a.m.: Potter’s Liquor Store, 413 N. Friendswood Drive, was burglarized. Police say it may be connected to several vehicle burglaries in the same area. The suspects in the burglary were described as slim, wearing black hoodies, pants, gloves, bandanas and shoes.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Dec. 27, 8:25 a.m.: Dontaee Montrell Holmes, 19, of Houston, and Xavier James Taylor, 20, of Houston, were charged with criminal trespass after a resident in the 1000 block of Oak Park Lane called police about a man who was knocking at her door and asking for someone who did not live at the residence. Several burglaries in the same area had similar activity. If no one answers, the burglars break in, but if someone does answer, they ask for someone who does not live there. The caller gave officers a description of the man’s vehicle, which was located and followed until it turned into the Lakes of Falcon Ridge subdivision, where it was stopped. The officer asked the driver to get out of the car with his license and insurance. A man matching the description of the man who knocked on the door was reclined in the passenger seat and appeared to be sleeping. The driver, Holmes, told officers that he did not have a driver’s license and was lost in Friendswood. The officer confirmed that Holmes was driving without a license and placed him in custody. Holmes first said he and Taylor were in the subdivision looking for a girl’s house and another time that they were looking for Taylor’s friend. Taylor told police that he had been asleep the entire time and denied knocking on the door of any residence. The men were charged with criminal trespass.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Dec. 27, 8:57 p.m.: Warren Richard Thornton, 51, of Friendswood, was charged with assault by contact-family violence. Officers responded to an alleged assault in the 1600 block of White Wing Circle where a man was accused of assaulting his wife and stepson.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
Dec. 28, 11:57 p.m.: Matthew Bennett Harris, 23, of Friendswood, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Dec. 30, 12:45 a.m.: Rodolfo Olivares, 40, of Houston, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Dec. 30, 3:56 a.m.: Laura L. Moreno-Martinez, 23, of Alvin, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped for speeding in the 2800 block of Championship Drive.
Dec. 31, 2:55 a.m.: Daniel Jon Nemitz, 49, of Pearland, was charged with a second offense of driving while Intoxicated and driving while license is invalid.
Dec. 31, 3:06 a.m.: Roland Richard Moreno, 41, of League City, was charged with driving while intoxicated after an officer saw his vehicle swerving out of its lane and stopped him in the 2600 block of South Friendswood Drive.
Dec. 31, 3:15 a.m.: Amber Orlean Willemsen, 34, of League City, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped for speeding in the 3200 block of FM 528.
Jan. 1, 1:45 a.m.: Celina Zepeda, 18, of Houston, was charged with DUI minor and minor in possession of alcohol after she was stopped for speeding in the 300 block of West Parkwood Avenue.
Jan. 1, 3:54 a.m.: Mario Eduardo Salinas, 21, of Galveston, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and Michael Andrew Flores, 21, of Galveston, was charged with public intoxication.
Jan. 1, 4:42 a.m.: Christopher Jerron Cotton, 40, of League City, was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for running a red light and speeding in the 600 block of South Friendswood Drive.
Jan. 1, 6:50 a.m.: Kevin Lewis Moffett, 28, of League City, was charged with driving while intoxicated after officers found him asleep inside his vehicle in a moving lane of traffic in the 4000 block of FM 2351.
DRUGS
Dec. 26, 1:44 a.m.: Deandre Wayne Sims, also known as Delove Simms, 23, of Pasadena, was charged with failure to identify-fugitive intent, and Candace Lauren Daugherty, 20, of Fate, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1.
Dec. 27, 8:49 p.m.: Buster Lewis Frederick, Jr., 44, of Dickinson, and Michael Keith Jenkins, 39, of Dickinson, were charged with possession of marijuana.
Dec. 28, 4:39 p.m.: Brandy Lynn Medlock, 20, of Alvin, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dec. 30, 2:45 p.m.: Jonathan David Foster, 29, of Alvin, was charged with possession of marijuana.
Dec. 30, 3:45 p.m.: Abraham Villarruel, 19, of League City, and Cecilia Marie Olivarez, 19, of Houston, were charged with possession of marijuana.
Dec. 30, 8:17 p.m.: A 16-year-old Friendswood teen was charged with resisting arrest in the 200 block of Stratmore Drive.
Dec. 31, 2:52 p.m.: A 17-year-old male from League City was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of fireworks.
Jan. 1, 5:09 p.m.: Jonathan William Parish, 20, of Friendswood, was charged with possession of marijuana.
FRAUD
Dec. 27, 1:29 p.m.: A resident reported a debit card as missing. The account has now been frozen.
Dec. 29, 2:22 p.m.: A man in the 3100 block of Indian Summer Trail reported getting a call from Macy’s department store advising him that his application for credit was denied. The man had not applied for a new credit account and store representative told him his current account had exceeded its credit limit. All of the charges were unauthorized. The man later checked his credit report and found another retail credit account that had unauthorized charges. A fraud alert was placed on his accounts.
Dec. 29, 3:23 p.m.: A resident in the 3000 block of Sugar Maple Court received a telephone call advising him of suspicious activity on his credit cards. He reported two of his credit cards showed someone had attempted to make purchases at a Walmart store, but both attempts were denied for lack of identification. He then checked his other credit cards for activity and found that one of his credit cards was declined at a gas station.
Dec. 30, 8:53 a.m.: A resident in the 15500 block of Edenvale told police he received a letter in the mail telling him that his application for credit was denied. He had not filled out an application for credit and he called the credit company. The account was cancelled.
THEFT
Dec. 28, 3:26 a.m.: Robert Lawrence Klaiber, 27, of Fredericksburg, and Samuel Micah Webb, 19, of Alvin, were charged in Brazoria County with two counts of theft of material and two counts of criminal mischief. Their bond was set at $140,000.
Dec. 28, 1:50 p.m.: A lawn care company working in the 1000 block of Tall Pines Drive reported the theft of two weed trimmers from a trailer. The theft occurred between 1 p.m. and 1:40 p.m.
Dec. 26, 3:20 p.m.: A Friendswood medic reported the theft of an iPad. A check with the 3G provider showed that someone has used the iPad as recently as Dec. 24.
