Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 77 gas stations in and around Clear Lake, Dickinson, Friendswood, Kemah, League City, Nassau Bay and Webster. As of Dec. 31, the average price of regular unleaded gas in the Clear Lake area is $3.073 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.080, Houston average at $3.066, and the nationwide average at $3.258.

The average gas price in the Clear Lake area last week was $3.008 per gallon.

The least expensive gas price in area is reported to be $2.94 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which a Gasbuddy.com contributor logged as being available at Murphy USA, 155 FM-518 and SH-146.

A Gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.34, which was being sold at Shell, 1910 NASA Pkwy. and Upper Bay Road in Nassau Bay.
