League City man sues ex-girlfriend over bulldog
A League City man is suing his former girlfriend after, he said, she refuses to return his British bulldog.
League City resident Ryan Matthew Shifflett filed a lawsuit on Dec. 14 in Harris County District Court against Cameron Gilmore, citing conversion.
Shifflett says on Oct. 21, he left his British bulldog, named Bentley, in the care of Gilmore, his girlfriend. According to the brief, Shifflett flew to Las Vegas and Napa Valley and the two split up while he was away, but Gilmore refuses to return the dog.
Shifflet is seeking injunctive relief and actual damages, as well as attorney's fees and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Robert Kuehm.
