Clear Springs alum can't help Campbell University to victory
Anthony Horton, a 2010 graduate of Clear Springs, scored five points but watched as Campbell University fell to Creighton 104-81 in men's college hoops action on Friday.
Horton played his senior year at Clear Springs and led the Chargers to the Texas 5-A state playoffs. He earned team MVP honors while also earning first-team All-District and All-Country honors.
In addition to playing at Clear Springs, Horton also played in the Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game where he was the East team's leading scorer.
He is the son of Jim and Shannah Horton.
