Space Center Houston to host 'Mission to Mars' interactive presentation
Space Center Houston will host a viewing of the launch of the Atlas V rocket on Saturday, Nov. 26.
The “Atlas V” rocket contains the Mars Science Laboratory, “Curiosity.” Following the launch, which will take place on Space Center Houston’s main plaza big screen, in the Blast Off theater and the Northrop Grumman theater, there will be the “Mission to Mars” presentation.
The live interactive presentation will explore all aspects of the MSL from the launch pad to its mission on the red planet, as well as highlight what scientists have discovered so far through rovers “Spirit” and “Opportunity.”
The launch is scheduled for 9:02 a.m., with the “Mission to Mars” presentation taking place daily at noon and 3 p.m. Visitors are asked to enter through the main entrance and ask for Roger Bornstein at the front desk.
