The Friendswood High School Student Council recently accepted a $2,000 donation from the Friendswood Historical Society.
The donation was for the Student Council’s leadership in holding their inaugural “Historween” event on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29.
“Historween” combined a haunted house at the Old Junior High with historical re-enactments at the Perry House Museum, an after dark tour of the cemetery with some of the inhabitants coming to life to tell their story and a hay ride back to the start.
The Student Council will be donating some of the money to the groups that helped with putting on the event, which included the Interact Club, PALs, the Recycling Club, the Honor Society and the Drum Line.
