Lakewood Yacht Club names 'Yacht of the Year'
Lakewood Yacht Club Commodore Tom Taylor (right) presented the Yacht of the Year Award to member and racer Jack Seitzinger for his yacht <em>Asylum</em> on Sat., Nov. 18.
The Lakewood Yacht Club named Jack Seitzinger’s Asylum as the “Yacht of the Year” at its Fall Ball Awards Ceremony.
The annual award goes to the Lakewood Yacht Club boat that has the best score in club-hosted races on Galveston Bay, which are Bay Cup I, Bay Cup II and the Shoe Race.
Asylum placed first in these three races, plus best overall for Bay Cup I and II.
