Cy Springs and Clear Brook HS grads face off in Big 12 volleyball action
Cy Springs and Clear Brook High School grads faced off as Baylor made big plays at the end of three winning sets to defeat No. 25 Oklahoma 3-1, 26-28, 27-25, 25-22, 25-22, on Saturday.
Cy Springs high school graduate Briana Tolbert racked up a career-high 19 kills with just two errors to hit .436.
Tolbert was rated as the No. 62 recruit from the class of 2008 according to prepvolleyball.com. She was the District 17-5A kill leader in 2007 with 334 kills.
Briana Lynette Tolbert was born Nov. 6, 1990, and is the daughter of Lorenzo and Deuanna Tolbert. Briana is majoring in speech communications.
Clear Brook High School graduate Suzy Boulavsky also had 19 kills in the loss for Oklahoma.
Boulavasky played for Clear Brook from 2004-07, earning All-State and All-District honors as a senior. She also played for the Texas Tornadoes club team from 2004-06 and AVA 18 Asics in 2007. The pre-journalism major ranked first in her graduating class at CBHS. Suzy is the daughter of Michael and Jacqui Boulavsky of Bay Knoll in Houston's Clear Lake neighborhood.
