Pope John XIII defeated Bay Area Christian 30-26 in girls high school basketball action on Friday.
The win ups the Lions to 1-0 on the season.
Megan Rogers scored 10 points in the victory.
Pope John XIII will next visit Cy Christian on Monday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Bay Area Christian to 1-1 on the season.
Casey Smith recorded 10 points in the loss.
Bay Area Christian will next host Legacy Christian Academy on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.
