Kemah to hold holiday festivities
Kemah will begin its holiday festivities with its Open House and Tree Lighting, beginning at 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Kemah Visitor Center, located at 604 Bradford.
Santa and reindeer will arrive in a carriage led by a Kemah Fire Truck. Goody bags for children and photos will be available at no cost for all who visit Santa.
Christmas in Kemah will continue through Dec. 18 with activities and entertainment in the Kemah Lighthouse District. Santa will be walking in the district with candy, posing for photos and listening to children's wish lists. There will also be musicians, strolling minstrels, choirs, dancers, bands, story telling, costume characters, refreshments, face painters and more.
Other activities include the Krewe du Lac Christmas Kemah Toy Drive and Annual Pub Crawl beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 2. A Christmas Costumed Pet Parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Dec. 3 at Kemah Visitor Center.
Blizzard by the Bay will perform from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3 and Dec. 17. The 50th Annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade will begin at dusk on Dec. 10. The Kemah Merchant Bake Sale will be held on Dec. 10.
Holiday ice carving will take place on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17. And a "Prelude Nutcracker Ballet" performance will be presented on Dec. 17.
