Friendswood Junior High fundraiser ends with winners kissing goat
The Friendswood Junior High four-day fundraiser culminated on Friday, Oct. 21, with winners kissing a goat.
Students in grades 6 through 8 determined which teachers had the fewest points and had to kiss the goat.
Students placed containers representing each teacher and administrator in the cafeteria for four days. Each teacher received one point for every penny placed in the containers and five points for every nickel. Each teacher lost 10 points for every dime placed in the containers and 25 points for every quarter. Teachers neither lost nor gained points for dollar bills donated.
On Friday, Oct. 21, teachers with the fewest amount of points and one administrator had to kiss a goat during their lunch period.
The winners who had to kiss the goat included teachers Gary Scogin, Corey Dalton and Angela Kitchel and FJH assistant principal Diane Jones. FHS Ag teacher Trevor Reifel brought in the six-month-old goat.
The event was organized by teacher Jermaine Sonnier and sponsored by Student Council and Clean Living Encouragement and Responsibility.
