The Home Depot in El Dorado has 'adopted' a dropout prevention program at the Brookside Intermediate School in Friendswood. It donated more than 100 sweatshirts to students in need and plans to provide Thanksgiving meals and Christmas assistance to families. Home Depot also plans to work on other campus-wide improvements.
Home Depot's participation is part of the larger Communities In Schools-Bay Area “Adopt a School Program” that gives assistance to 12 schools in the Clear Creek and Dickinson Independent School Districts.
"At Home Depot one of our core values is giving back, and we look forward to doing our part to make a positive impact on the children and the community," says Travis Humphreys, general manager of Home Depot El Dorado 1859.
