Friendswood Walmart blamed for infants fractured skull
Walmart is being sued over claims a defective shopping cart in its Friendswood store caused an infant’s skull to be fractured.
Michael Tricarico, and others, on behalf of infant Tricarico, filed a lawsuit on Oct. 21 in Harris County District Court against Walmart Stores and Unarco, Inc., citing negligence.
The Tricaricos say that on Dec. 19, 2009, 2-month-old infant Tricarico sustained injuries while being pushed in a shopping cart through Walmart, located at 150 W. El Dorado Blvd. in Friendswood.
According to the brief, the shopping cart used by the Tricaricos to transport their baby broke in half and catapulted the infant from the cart to the pavement, fracturing her skull.
The Tricaricos are seeking damages and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Friendswood attorney Kevin Bradshaw.
