League City's hike-and-bike plan to be unveiled
The draft of the master plan for League City's hike-and-bike trail system will be unveiled next month.
Clark Condon Associates, which is developing the plan, will present it at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Section 4B Industrial Development Board meeting, at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 W. Walker.
The Houston-based firm will then present it to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Parks Board at 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at City Council Chambers, 200 W. Walker.
This is the final step before we get a final master plan," said city spokeswoman Kristi Wyatt said. This is an opportunity for us to look at it and see if everything that was wanted has been implemented. It's also an opportunity for us to see how the public input has been implemented in to the plan."
Earlier this year, four public meetings were held for residents to give input on possible trail locations, material types, amenities and themes or graphics.
Wyatt emphasized that the plan that will be presented next month is only a draft and can be revised. A final version will later be compiled and presented to City Council for approval, she said.
