HS Football Preview: Clear Lake vs. Elsik
Clear Lake battles Elsik in high school football action Thursday.
Clear Lake, 0-1, lost to Chavez, 12-3, last Friday in CCISD Veterans Stadium.
The Falcons led the game 3-0 at halftime, thanks to a 38 yard field goal from Matt Couch, but were unable to hold off Chavez in the second half.
Following the Elsik clash, Clear Lake will visit Kempner next Saturday at 7 p.m. in Hall Stadium.
The Mighty Rams, 0-1, lost to Kingwood, 29-15, last Friday in Turner Stadium.
Running back Jerry Byrum carried the ball 15 times for 197 yards and touchdown runs of 13 and 62-yards in the loss for Elsik.
After playing Clear Lake, Elsik will host Marshall next Friday at 7 p.m. in Crump Stadium.
The Mighty Rams and Falcons are set to kick off Thursday at 7 p.m. in CCISD Veterans Stadium.
