HS Football: Clear Creek tops Pasadena Memorial
Clear Creek defeated Pasadena Memorial in high school football Saturday.
Clear Creek, 1-0, won the game 30-13, after leading 14-0 at halftime. Quarterback Austin Smith was 14-22 for 224 yards and two touchdown passes of 68 and 6 yards. Running back Colby Davis carried the ball 19 times for 82 yards and two scoring runs of two yards each. Wide receiver Deon Lewis caught seven passes for 154 yards and a 68-yard touchdown pass. Clear Creek will host Kingwood, 1-0, Friday at 7:30 p.m. at CCISD Veterans Stadium. Memorial was led by running back Nick Hernandez, who carried the ball 20 times for 81 yards and a four-yard touchdown run. Memorial will host Clements, 0-1, on Friday at 7 p.m. in Pasadena Veterans Stadium.Related Stories
