Aloha Tex Fest to return to Seabrook
The 10th annual Aloha Tex Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 3 at the Landolt Pavilion.
The festival brings Polynesia to Texas with traditional dances, food, crafts and music from many islands in the Pacific, such as Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa and Tonga. This year’s event will also feature the Keiki Korner for children, which will give kids a chance to learn about Polynesian culture by making crafts and playing with traditional instruments.
The event will have lots of island entertainment, such as hula dancers and traditional drum and ukulele music. Craft booths will have goods from the islands for sale, including jewelry and art. Local food, such as huli huli chicken and spam musubi, will also be available.
General admission to the event is $3; kids 10 and under get in for free. Entrance to the Keiki Korner is $2.
Landolt Pavilion is located at 5001 NASA Parkway.
