League City Police Department blotter, Aug. 18

The League City Police Department reported the following incidents between Aug. 17 and the early hours of Aug. 18:

BURGLARY
Aug. 17, 9 a.m.: A woman reported $2 as stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 500 block of St. Charles Avenue.

Aug. 17, 11:30 a.m.: A woman reported items as stolen from a tool shed in the 1500 block of Sherl Street. Police say there were signs of forced entry.

Aug. 17: A woman reported medication and household items as stolen from a home in the 300 block of Colony Creek Drive.

FRAUD
Aug. 17: A woman in the 200 block of Old Oaks Street reported an unknown person used her personal information without permission to cash a forged check in Houston.

Aug. 17, 5:08 p.m.: A woman in the 500 block of Alabama Avenue reported her birthdate and social security number were used without permission to open a fraudulent account. She also reported her debit card was used without permission to make purchases.

HARASSMENT
Aug. 17, 8:16 a.m.: A woman in the 900 block of West FM 517 reported receiving several harassing text messages from an unknown person.

HIT AND RUN
Aug. 17, 12:30 p.m.: A man reported a hit-and-run crash in the 3200 block of South Gulf Freeway. Police say an unknown driver hit a gray Nissan Altima in the front bumper and then fled the area.

Aug. 17, 5:27 p.m.: A woman reported a hit-and-run crash in the 2900 block of South Gulf Freeway. Police say the driver of a pick-up truck hit another vehicle and then fled the area.

THEFT
Aug. 17, 6:11 p.m.: Anna Pierce, 18, was arrested on a theft charge in the 2800 block of South Gulf Freeway.

Aug. 17: A man reported a boat as stolen from the 3700 block of Magnolia Ridge sometime between July 25 and Aug. 8.
