Farmers' Market at Clear Lake Shores to mark end of summer
The “Last Blast of Summer” at the Farmers’ Market at Clear Lake Shores will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20.
Anyone looking for homegrown, homemade, natural and organic foods and products are encouraged to attend. The market will feature the tropical tunes of Cap’n Rick and a children’s activity tent sponsored by AFLAC Independent Agent Jason West.
Some market vendors will feature products with a tropical twist, like coconut water and coconut cake. Skinny Cal-O-Mixers will be at the market sampling and selling all-natural zero-calorie drink mixes.
Anyone wearing a Hawaiian shirt, flip-flops and board shorts, or a grass skirt and coconut bra, can claim a free reusable market bag. Others can get a bag in exchange for a $2 donation to support Bay Area Turning Point.
The farmers’ market will go from 8 a.m. to noon and is located at 1020 Marina Bay Drive (FM 2094).
