Clear Lake congregation announces schedule for Jewish high holidays
Congregation Shaar Hashalom has announced its schedule for services for Jewish high holidays.
Selichot:
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.
Rosh Hashanah, First Day (assigned seating):
The Erev (evening) service will begin at 8 p.m. on Sept. 28.
A morning service will follow at 9 a.m. on Sept. 29.
The day will conclude at 4 p.m. on Sept. 29 with Tashlich (Bay Area Park).
Rosh Hashanah, Second Day:
The Erev (evening) service will be held at 8 p.m. on Sept. 29, followed by a morning service at 9 a.m. Sept. 30.
Yom Kippur:
The Kol Nidre service (assigned seating) will be held at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 7.
Morning, 9 a.m.; Yizkor, 11:30 a.m.; Mincha, 5:30 a.m.; and Shofar and breakfast, sunset, will all be on Oct. 8.
Sukkot:
At 7 p.m. on Oct. 14, there will be a family service.
The Sukkah Walk is scheduled for the afternoon of Oct. 16.
Shemini Atzeret (Yizkor) will be at 8 a.m. on Oct. 20.
Simchat Torah:
Evening service will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 20.
Children’s services and babysitting will be available the first day of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The younger children’s services will be at 9:30 a.m. (10 a.m. YK) and the older children’s service will be at 10:30 a.m. (11 a.m. YK). For babysitting, RSVP to the synagogue office.
