Clear Creek HS grad Shawn Blackwell improves to 4-0
Clear Creek High School graduate Shawn Blackwell earned the win on the hill to move to 4-0 on the season as the Arizona League Rangers beat the AZL Athletics, 6-3, Sunday.
Blackwell is a 2009 graduate of Clear Creek High School and a 24th-round selection (724th overall) of the Texas Rangers in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft.
Blackwell began his professional career in 2010 starting 13 games for the Rangers' rookie team of the Arizona Rangers. He went 6-3 with a 4.10 ERA in 59.1 innings. Blackwell was born Nov. 15, 1990, in League City.
