Webster business blamed for slip-and-fall injuries

A woman is suing over claims a slick entrance ramp into a Webster-area business caused her to slip and fall.

Patricia Kilpatrick filed a lawsuit on Aug. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Academy Sports & Outdoors, of Webster, alleging negligence.

Kilpatrick says that on July 26, 2010, she suffered serious injuries while visiting  Academy Sports & Outdoors, located at 21351 Gulf Freeway in Webster. According to the brief, Kilpatrick was using crutches to help her walk up the Academy’s entrance ramp, when her crutches slipped on the ramp’s painted surface, causing her arm and wrist to be hurt.

Kilpatrick is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Scot Dollinger.
